- Texas Tribune: A non-profit news source for Texas. Their coverage of Texas politics is broad and generally non-partisan. They also have several areas of in-depth coverage, including a biannual tracking of the Texas Legislature.
- Real Clear Politics is an aggregated news site that also contains survey data and selects an ideologically diverse set of opinion pieces.
- Pew Research Center may be a welcome respite for those looking for more empirical information regarding current events and attitudes. Their surveys cover a wide variety of topics and generally include helpful write-ups that are accessible to most audiences.

- The New Thinkery: A political philosophy podcast that has interviews with various scholars on their research and episodes which are discussions of particular works by political philosophers. Available on your podcatcher of choice.
